An extremely fine lower pile construction, this stunning vintage Moroccan Zaïane carpet is reminiscent of older antique Berber works. tribe.

Zaïane

This tribe settled in the southern area of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Their textiles are thinner than the northen Berber rugs due to the warmer climate. Red is generally the predominant color for these carpets, possibly due to the proximity of trade routes where these dyes were more readily available.
