Vintage Moroccan Tuareg Carpet TG13

Woven by the nomadic Tuareg tribes of Mauritania with palm reed and leather, these mats offer a textural alternative to traditional woven textile floor coverings. With a primitive yet modern sensibility, this piece features a rather symmetrical composition of cross motifs floating on a blank field. There is an emphasis on the central forms, lending rhythm and movement to the piece.
