Vintage Moroccan Tuareg Carpet TG16

Woven by the nomadic Tuareg tribes of Mauritania with palm reed and leather, these mats offer a textural alternative to traditional woven textile floor coverings. This piece exhibits a rather symmetrical prominent lozenge pattern small diversions present upon further inspection. These wide bands hold intricate woven patterns of lozenges, zig-zags, and stripes.
