Vintage Moroccan Ourika Carpet OR21
A unique example from the Ourika Valley, this painterly composition includes meandering distorted lozenges, abstract effigies, H forms, a tea pot, and a chessboard motif at the bottom, The unusual color palette includes saffron yellow, orange, crimson red, celadon, grey-blue, lavender, black and ivory. All wool pile and weft with a multicolored cotton warp.
