Vintage Moroccan Beni Yacoub Carpet BY02
An energetic Beni Yacoub carpet with a painterly composition and hand. The abstracted vibrating lozenge motifs float across a field of shifting pixelated geometric forms. Knotted in coral, pink, orange, celadon green, dark brown, and ivory. The palette abruptly mutates at one end to cobalt blue, kelly green, and red, reflecting a change in narrative of the weaver. Constructed with a mixture of wool and cotton pile on a cotton warp.
