Vintage Moroccan Beni Alaham Carpet BA04

This vintage Beni Alaham carpet is woven in fine wool with an exceptional hand and patina. An overall minimal lozenge network is surrounded by smaller lozenges floating across the field. Knotted in charcoal black and warm taupe/gray on an ivory ground, 100% wool.

The Beni Alaham are a small sub tribe of the Beni Ouarain confederacy. Residing in the Middle Atlas range south east of Ahermoumou, the carpets of this tribe can be influenced by their Middle Atlas Berber Berber neighbors and tend to be on the more minimal side in regards to motif structures.
