Vintage Moroccan Beni Alaham Carpet BA01

A fantastic white giant, this vintage Beni Alaham carpet is woven in a fine, dense wool with an exceptional patina and silky hand. Knotted in a charcoal black wool on an ivory ground, the minimal large lozenge pattern appears to extend beyond the length of the carpet. A fine band of flat weave finishes both ends. Time worn fringe adds to the character of the piece. 100% wool.

Beni Alaham

The Beni Alaham are a small sub tribe of the Beni Ouarain confederacy. Residing in the Middle Atlas range south east of Ahermoumou, the carpets of this tribe can be influenced by their Middle Atlas Berber Berber neighbors and tend to be on the more minimal side in regards to motif structures.
