Vintage Moroccan Aït Yafelmane Carpet AM02

A bold and colorful example, this Aït Yafelmane carpet exhibits vertical chains of meandering lozenges. The network appears to grow from the bottom of the composition like a tree. Side borders are constructed of alternating horizontal bars in various tones of purples and charcoal. Knotted in a palette of bright pink, orange, celadon/mint green, charcoal, black, ivory, and a deep magenta. 100% wool pile and weft on a cotton warp.
