Vintage Moroccan Aït Bou Ichaouen Carpet TS32
A very colorful vintage Aït Bou Ichaouen (Talsint) carpet knotted in variegated pile (known as Asachu). An overall network of lozenges and zig zag motifs undulate across the field. Several twisted horizontal bands of color are present in the flat weave, adding additional depth and interest. The motifs are knotted in a palette of faded celadon green, bright red, orange, pink, charcoal, and ivory on a red ground. Finished with a multicolored flat weave bands at both ends, typical of weavings from this High Atlas tribe. 100% wool.
