Vintage Moroccan Aït Bou Ichaouen Carpet TS21
This Aït Bou Ichaouen exhibits a spontaneous expression of the classic lozenge motif. A sawtooth network of distorted lozenges floats over an abrashed ground of purple, red, and magenta wool. Ribbons of loose lozenge forms meander within the composition knotted in saffron yellow and sky blue. Some of the forms break apart, almost suggesting snake motifs. Some fringe loss, which does not detract from the overall condition. 100% wool.
