Vintage Moroccan Hassira Carpet HS03

With a bold pattern and color story, this Hassira mat displays a strong graphic message. Emphasizing the male zig zag form, the symbolism is reinterpreted several times in different color combinations. Horizontal bands of lozenge chains and latticed triangles create breaks in the overall composition. Woven with halfa, a local grass, with wool for the motifs on cotton warp. Recommended for indoor dry use only.

These weavings are used as floor coverings in warmer seasons, but are commonly found under carpets as well.
