Vintage Moroccan Beni Sadden Carpet BS01

This vintage Beni Sadden, neighboring tribe to the Beni Ouarain, contains abstract Berber glyphs unique to this region. A shifting lozenge network interrupted by five horizontal bands is knotted in dark brown, black, and mushroom on an ivory ground. Framed by a double border along both selvedges. 100% wool with a lustrous sheen and time worn patina.

The Beni Sadden resides to the west of the Beni Ouarain confederacy. The carpets of this tribe can be influenced by their Middle Atlas Berber Berber neighbors to the east and sometimes the Beni M'Guild in the south.
