Vintage Moroccan Aït Ouaouzguite Carpet AO10

A lively Aït Ouaouzguite example with an abstract motif structure. Floating female lozenge forms float throughout the composition, filled with brick-like motifs, combined with other random symbols, containing within intricate aysemetrical side borders. Knotted in a bright palette of coral red, tangerine orange, natural grey, charcoal and ivory wool on a sunny yellow ground. Super fine and shiny wool pile woven on a cotton warp.
